Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 May 2026

These terms govern how Journey Junction designs your trip and what we ask of each other in return. Plain English where we can manage it; the legal bits where we can't.

01Who we are

Journey Junction Ltd ("Journey Junction", "we", "us") is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15791277, with a registered office in Birmingham, United Kingdom. We design bespoke trips for travelers and connect them with vetted local planners who live in the destinations we serve.

02What these terms cover

By using thejourneyjunction.co.uk (the "Site") or by submitting a planning request through us, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

Separate booking terms apply to each individual trip. You will receive those in writing — and have the chance to review and accept them — before you commit to a deposit.

03Our role

Journey Junction is a trip-design and concierge service. We do not operate flights, hotels, transfers, or guided activities ourselves. Where you book travel arrangements through us, we act as a disclosed agent for the relevant suppliers, or facilitate your direct booking with our partner planners and operators on the ground.

This means:

04Quotes, design fees and bookings

The first conversation and outline itinerary are complimentary. If you ask us to proceed to a full design, we will quote a flat design fee in writing. This fee covers our planner's time, vetting and concierge support; it does not include travel costs.

A trip is only confirmed once we have received: (a) your acceptance of the trip-specific booking terms, (b) the agreed deposit, and (c) a signed traveler statement.

05Payment, changes and cancellations

Deposit amounts, balance due dates and cancellation schedules are set per trip and disclosed in your trip-specific booking terms. We do our best to keep these schedules generous and clearly worded; however, third-party suppliers (especially small lodges, private guides and seasonal operators) often impose stricter cancellation terms that we are required to pass on.

Changes requested after confirmation are accommodated where possible and may incur supplier fees plus a re-design fee.

06Pricing and currency

All quoted prices are in GBP unless explicitly stated. Prices are based on the rates available at the time of quoting and may be revised — with your prior agreement — if exchange rates, fuel surcharges, or supplier rates shift materially before confirmation.

07Travel documents, insurance and health

You are responsible for holding a valid passport, visas, and any health documentation required for your itinerary. We will flag what we know, but we cannot guarantee that government requirements have not changed between our advice and your departure.

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for every Journey Junction traveler. You must arrange this no later than the deposit date, and we recommend a policy that covers cancellation, medical evacuation, and the activities included in your itinerary.

08Conduct on trip

Our planners and partners are guests in the places they design for, and so are you. We reserve the right to end any traveler's trip — without refund — if their conduct seriously endangers the safety, dignity or property of staff, hosts, fellow travelers or local communities.

09Limits of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with our services is limited to the design fee paid to Journey Junction for the trip in question. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party suppliers, force majeure events, or for indirect or consequential losses.

10Intellectual property

The Site, the trip designs we send you, and any written material we share remain the intellectual property of Journey Junction. You may use them for your personal trip planning; please do not republish, resell, or share them outside that purpose without our written permission.

11Dispute resolution and governing law

If something goes wrong on a trip, please tell us as soon as possible — most issues are far easier to resolve while you're still on the ground. If a dispute cannot be resolved between us, you may refer it to an alternative dispute resolution provider where applicable.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes affecting trips already confirmed will be communicated to you directly.
